The Taleghan Villa, with an area of approximately 450 square meters, is located in a mountainous and cold region, where snowfall and rain are an inseparable part of its climate. The building includes four master bedrooms, a private home gym, an indoor pool, a separate library, three fireplaces in different spaces, and a fully equipped laundry room.

When I entered the project, the client already had the architectural design, facade, and executive documents, and the construction operation had progressed to the stage of structural implementation. However, the initial design did not meet the needs of the project in terms of either the spatial relationship of the spaces or the response to the climatic conditions of the region. Therefore, my task was to completely redesign the building while preserving the existing structure — a difficult and precise process that required complete coordination between structure and aesthetics.

In the new design, the relationship between private and public spaces was redefined to create a sense of continuity and integrity throughout the house. The selection of materials and details was also made with regard to humidity, cold air, and durability against harsh climatic conditions.

Since the construction manager was leading the construction process daily, it was necessary for me to update the drawings and details on a daily basis and control the sizes with great precision. From the design of the walls and interior proportions to the smallest details such as door handles, bookcases, cabinets, and the specific details of each space, all were designed specifically to preserve the spirit of the project in all its layers.

The project is now in the final stages of its completion, and the result is a combination of precision, harmony, and a redefinition of architecture in the mountainous context of Taleghan.
